Whenever we visit Bude we always try to squeeze in a canal coastal loop walk with a pit stop at The Weir. The Full weir breakfast is not to be underestimated, and is always a good offering of local food. Staff are always friendly and service is always quick. Recommended

The bistro over-looks a small lake. There are tables outside for enjoying the view, and floor to ceiling windows for when the weather makes eating outside not an option. I've only been here for breakfast (which was excellent) which is served until 12pm. There are a number of sign posted walks easily accessible from the site, including the Bude canal.

Lovely atmosphere food was delicious, on the day we was there they had meet the farmer he brought all his animals from sheep, dog and puppies and pony’s. We ate tuna sandwiches which was devine and cream teas and some fries. Staff friendly, very clean, reasonably priced.

We are from Australia and therefore the greatest nit-pickers on the planet with coffee. The long black and skinny flat white are top notch and the staff are lovely and very professional. 5*.

The Weir very kindly accommodated us with having our wedding there. Not only were we able to have a fantastic reception there, we were also able to say our vows in front of the beautiful lake. It was a beautiful evening. They provided a BBQ buffet with steaks, burgers and salads and the food was really good. The drinks were at a very good price as well. Their service on the evening was amazing. Thank you to The Weir for hosting an evening we will never forget!

Tucked away along a valley with lovely views over a lake, this grill restaurant offers steaks and kebabs (among other things) freshly cooked over a fire pit / giant bbq. Really decent food, good wines, and lovely staff. You can walk here along a path from Bude so as to build up an appetite / shuffle down your dinner. Definitely recommend!
